About Shadowbrook - racehorse pre training and spelling farm

Shadowbrook is a 50 acre undulating pastured racehorse pre training and spelling farm nestled amongst the gum trees of rural Pearcedale. It is located close to Cranbourne, Pakenham and Mornington racetracks and is only a short 40 minute drive from caufeild.

The property consists of 30 rejuvenated and well pastured post and rail spelling paddocks of various sizes, ranging from 1 acre to 6 acres, all with shelters and accessed via laneways. Our 5 year old main stable complex is a U shaped formation with 32 large stables each measuring 15' x 25', a central striping shed houses tie ups, feed room, kitchen and wash bays. Our office is located up stairs on top of this shed. A separate 6 horse barn caters for our rehabilitation service for convalescing horses recovering from injury or in need of special post operative care. Adjacent to this barn are several post and rail day yards with shade trees and shelters for the recuperating horses gentle transition back to the paddock.

'Equissage' and ultra sound equipment are also on hand to aid in recovery of certain injuries. We also boast a 1200 metre undulating all weather training track.
